KULUKA PROJECT
in siSwati · tresser, assembler, entrelacer
An evolving project where gestures, materials and craftsmanship meet and grow together. From objects to furniture, each new piece builds on the previous one, opening up new territories.
Siyaphambili and Indzaba Yami bring together women artisans around traditional weaving skills. Working with lutindzi, a native wild grass harvested locally and woven by hand, their craft creates opportunities for economic independence and greater recognition.
From our encounter with the cooperatives emerge hybrid pieces, shaped by shared craftsmanship between Eswatini and France.
What is woven together, creates ties worldwide.
